3 Easy Steps to Get Verified
Starting July 1, 2016, the NSW Government introduced new verification requirements for ALL buyers and sellers of property in NSW. It is known as Verification of Identity or VOI for short.
What do I need to do?
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE A CLIENT OF RM LEGAL AND CONVEYANCING TO USE THIS FORM.
If you are not a client of ours, it will not work for you. Contact your conveyancer or solicitor for the correct forms.

What forms of Identification do I need?
All verification can be done at Australia Post. You will need:
An Australia Post Verification of Identity form. You can download it here (same form as above): Australia Post Verification of Identity
One Primary form of Identification and
One Secondary form of Identification.
The easiest and most common documents are:
A Birth Certificate or Passport
and a Drivers Licence.
Who do I need to show these documents to?
You will need to go to your local post office to be verified.
The documents you present MUST BE ORIGINALS. They CANNOT be copies.
When does VOI need to be completed?
VOI needs to be completed before contracts are exchanged or if exchanged with a real estate agent, will need to be completed before the cooling-off period expires.
