How Contracts for Sale were signed in the past
In the past, signing contracts to buy or sell a house in NSW with a solicitor or conveyancer in Newcastle was difficult.
It usually meant:
- Taking time off work
- Driving to the conveyancer’s office
- Waiting till they were ready to see you
- Sitting in their office and signing the contract, which took around 10 minutes.
- Drive home
All this took time and effort.
There are no limits as to where you can sign. As long as you have:
- Internet access; and
- A device to view your emails
If you have these, you’ll be able to sign one of our contracts.
How modern conveyancers can help make signing easier
There is now a much easier way to sign contracts. It can all be done on any computer or mobile device, as long as you have internet.
We have had clients:
- Sign contracts while on holidays in Thailand
- Sign contracts while living overseas
- Sign while on a cruise
- And of course, sign in their lounge room
What do I need in order to sign electroncially?
Of course you’ll need a conveyancer who has the technology to be able to provide Contracts that can be signed electronically.
If your conveyancer has the technology, there are no limits as to where you can sign. As long as you have:
- Internet access; and
- A device to view your emails
If you have these, you’ll be able to sign contracts on your phone, computer or tablet.
